Obituary of John I. Sparacio
Please share a memory of John to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
John I. Sparacio, 73, of Cape May, formerly of Marlton, NJ, passed away suddenly on May 6, 2016. Left behind to feel his loss is his childhood sweetheart and wife of 53 years, Geri (Jakelwicz). Already missing him are his 3 children who made him proud all of his life: Teresa McKenna (Joe Smith) of Marlton, Dominic Sparacio (Tina) of Ewa Beach, HI, and Geraldine "Dene" Ponzetti (Bob) of Mays Landing. John's grandchildren were his treasures: Jake Ponzetti (his fishing buddy), Joey Ponzetti (his partner in crime and trouble), Alina Sparacio (his Hawaiian Princess) and Lexie Dorner, his adopted granddaughter (who rounded out and completed his Varsity Four Crew) Papa says "ALOHA" to them all. Also left behind are his siblings Michael Sparacio (Paul), Lisa Browne (Don), and Margie Sparacio as well as nephews, a niece, many relatives, friends and fishing buddies. John was a 1960 graduate of Bishop Eustace H.S., former owner of Stockton Liquors in Camden, Pizza Den in Marlton, and manager of the former Steak 38 Brigantine. He was also known as "Captain Kamikazee" of the Banzai Lady and we knew he was a "KEEPER". We hope the sun is warm on his face, the seas are calm, and the fishing is better where he is now. Services will be private. Condolences will be received at www.evoyfuneralhome.com
