George Patrick Featherstone, age 97, of Cape May died Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at Cape Regional Med. Center of Cape May Court House. George was born March 6, 1919 in New York City to John and Margaret (Corcoran) Featherstone. He resided there many years retiring to Cape May in 1997. Mr. Featherstone retired in 1983 as a salesman for O.S. Eaton Corporation of New York City. He is a 1936 graduate of the High School of Commerce in New York City. He served in the US Army during WW II in Abergavenny Wales. He is the husband of the late Marjorie (nee McGrath.) Featherstone. He is survived by a daughter: Christine Hunke of Cold Spring; two grandchildren Erik and Jonathan Hunke and a great-granddaughter Madison. A funeral service will be held 11:00 am on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Road, N Cape May, NJ where relatives and friends may call from 10 to 11 AM. Burial will follow at the Cold Spring Cemetery (Veterans Section), Cold Spring In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
