Obituary of George F. Ewing

George Felton Ewing, 86, of Cold Spring, New Jersey, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, April 12, 2016. He was a lifelong resident of Cape May County. George loved the land he cared for, spending his early years as a farmer, working for Seabrook Farms. Along with his wife he operated a successful roadside produce stand for years before developing his own excavating and septic business. Ewing's Septic Systems, that he continued to operate into his eighties.. Through his work, his exceptional generosity, integrity, and sense of humor he became a well known member of the community who never hesitated to help someone in need. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Esther Ewing and sister: Mabel Ewing of Florida. He is also survived by his son Ronald Ewing and his wife Christina, two daughters Linda Ewing and Susan Saylor and her husband Steven; seven grandchildren, Emma and Harrison Ewing; Dina Matthews; , Darla Matthews-Delp, Donna Roth; , Aaron and Joshua Saylor; his seven great-grandchildren, Averie, Sierra, Raine and Briar McNeill, Celeste Matthews-Delp, Cadence and Chase Roth, one great-great grandson Haiden Lee McNeill.
