Obituary of George Francis Moore

George F. "Bud" Moore, age 81, of Cape May Court House passed away on Monday, March 21, 2016. Born June 14, 1934 in Pottsville, PA; George was a long time resident of Cape May County and Millville/Vineland area. He enjoyed working with horses, going to the beach, oil painting, drawing and visiting the casinos. George served his country in the Navy during which time he was awarded the National Defense Service Ribbon. He was honorably discharged in 1953. He went on to join the Army for which he was honorably discharged in 1957. George is predeceased by his loving wife, Isabelle Moore who passed away on April 2, 2009 and his only son, Steven Moore who passed away on December 9, 2010. He is also predeceased by his parents Anna (Francis) and Robert Moore and his brothers Frank and Harry. He is survived by three brothers: Jesse, Walt, and Robert; his niece and Caregiver for the past 5 years Melodie Sippel and her husband Thomas of Cape May Court House; his nephew PJ Shaw, Jr. of Edgewater, FL; nephew Robert Jordan of Oklahoma City, OK; niece Dawn Bucher and husband Adam of Cape May Court House; and niece Lindora Grant of Edgewater, FL. He is also survived by many other nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to a graveside service on Saturday, April 2, 2016 at 11:00 am at Cold Spring Presbyterian Cemetery located at 780 Seashore Road, North Cape May, NJ (corner of Seashore and Academy Roads). The grave is located on Hughes near Eighth. A luncheon will be held immediately following the service at the VFW Post 5343 located at 6 East Delaware Parkway, Villas, NJ 08251.
