Obituary of Linda L Lockwood

Linda L Lockwood, age 72, of North Wildwood passed away Palm Sunday, March 20, 2016 at home while doing her Sunday Chores. Linda is survived by her two children: Daniel D Lockwood and his wife Sylvia of Cape May Court House and Kathryn W Lockwood with whom she lived; five beloved grandchildren: Danielle "Danni Girl" Lockwood & Megan Johnson both of Cape May Court House and Nile, Samuel and Kathryn Lockwood all of Couperville, WA; her sister Katherine L Mercadante and her husband Kevin and their children: Kristopher, Michelle and Melissa all of Worchester, MA; her brother Theodore E Leonard, Jr. and his wife Esther of Portage, WI and their sons: Theodore III and Nicholas both of Baltimore, MD; and one great nephew: Louis. She was predeceased by her son Benjamin W Lockwood who passed away on August 2, 2014. Linda was born in Augusta, Georgia, a daughter of the late retired Major Theodore E Leonard, Sr. of the United States Army and Winifred H (Webster) Leonard. She grew up mainly in Clinton, New York and has lived on both Cape May and Wildwood for over 30 years. Linda graduated from New Hartford High School and later attended Kutztown College. She worked for Court House Convalescent Center where she was well respected after 25 years of her dedication to senior care. She was a committed member of St. Simeon's by the Sea Episcopal Church where she served in many capacities including the Altar Guild. Linda enjoyed vacationing in the Adirondacks with her family, loved art, music (especially Bob Dylan), reading, signing, was an excellent cook and will be missed very much by her family and her Shih Tzu's. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with her family on Wednesday, March 30, 2016 from 10:30 am to 12 noon at St. Simeon's by the Sea Episcopal Church, 2502 Central Ave, North Wildwood, NJ 08260; followed by her funeral service at 12 noon.
