Obituary of Della M. Zeigler

Della M. Zeigler, "Runt" age 68, of Villas passed away with her family by her side on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at Cape Regional Medical Center. Della was born September 7, 1947 in Harrisonburg, VA. She has been a Cape May area resident since 1968 and formerly lived in Silver Springs, MD. Della worked as a supervisor in the Housekeeping Dept. of the Waikiki Motor Inn in Wildwood Crest; where she had been employed for 15 years. She also previously worked for The Sands Motel also in Wildwood Crest. Della's most important job was being a mother. Della was a woman of faith who enjoyed spending time with her children and her precious grand children. She greatly enjoyed trips to Disney World where her favorite rides were: Buzz Lightyear, Toy Story and Shrek. Della also enjoyed her long car rides. She was preceded in death by her parents Lester Lee Shifflett and Della (nee Morris) Shifflett; her siblings Vernon Shifflett, Rachel King, Mary Beasley and Bernice Beasley. She is survived by her husband of 49 years: Franklin C. Zeigler; 4 children: Teresa (Ron) Glover, Franklin (Daneen) Zeigler Jr., Sandra Kane "Candy" and Chad (Crystal) Zeigler. She also leaves her sister Susie Cheri and 10 grandchildren. The funeral will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, March 24, 2016 at the First Assembly Of God Church, 1068 Seashore Road, Cape May, NJ with Rev. Leo Dodd officiating. A viewing will be held from 10 to 11 am at the church. Burial will follow services at Tabernacle U. M. Cemetery, Erma.
