Irene R "Penny" Doering, age 94, of Avalon passed away Friday, February 26, 2016 at Veteran's Memorial Home of Vineland, NJ. Irene was born April 25, 1921 in Philadelphia, PA. She is the daughter of the late George and the late Irene Robbins. Irene was employed by Juveniles in Need of Cape May Co.as a Child Supervisor and was a volunteer EMT for the Borough of Avalon. She was a lover of all animals and children. Irene is survived by two children: Edward R Doering of Ocean View and Linda D. Doering of Staten Island, NY. Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
