James Caldwell Lewis, age 82, of Villas passed away peacefully Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at Absecon Manor of Absecon, NJ. James was born November 15, 1933 in Camden, NJ and has been a Cape May area resident since 1984. He is the son of the late John Chambers and the late Lillian (Stephens) Lewis. James served his country in the US Navy during the Korean War. He was the owner/operator of his own machine shop. He was a member of the Cape May Masonic Lodge and the Cape May VFW. James is survived by his wife Frances (nee Burgess) Lewis; three daughters: Susan Frances, Regina Margaret Brophy, & Theresa Marie Lewis; and one son: Stephen Joseph Lewis. Also surviving are fourteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son James C Lewis, Jr. and Ruth Elizabeth Boyle.
