Norman E Humphreys, Jr., age 86, formerly of Villas, passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2013 at St. Mary's Hospital of Langhorne, PA. Norman was born January 20, 1927 in Pennsauken, NJ; and has been a Cape May area resident since 1989. He was the son of the late Norman E Humphreys Sr. and the late Margaret J (Schweitzer) Humphreys Norman served in the US Navy during World War II. He was employed by Nabisco Corporation of Philadelphia, PA. Norman was a member of the American Legion Post 198 of Cape May Court House, Knights of Columbus Council 3585 of Erma, St Raymond's Good Samaritans, and a former member of the Moose Lodge 585 of Wildwood. He is survived by his wife of 67 years Rita E (nee Hennessey) Humphreys; two daughters: Patricia Dzubak and Susan Neiss; and two sons Norman E Humphreys, Jr. and Michael Humphreys. Also surviving are his 10 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. There will be a funeral service at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at the Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Rd, North Cape May, NJ 08204; where friends will be received from 10:00 to 11:00 AM.
