Lloyd B Dickinson, age 96, of West Cape May passed away peacefully Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at North Cape Center. Lloyd was born November 13, 1919 in Cold Spring, NJ and has been a life-long Cape May area resident. He is the son of the late Cortland and the late Lydia (Bailey) Dickinson. Lloyd served his country in the US Navy on board the USS Benson during World War II. He worked for over 30 years for the JF Kiely Co. of Cape May Court House retiring in 1982. Lloyd also worked for the Cape May County Road Department and was a self employed electrician. He was an active member of Tabernacle United Methodist Church and the Men's Prayer Group. Lloyd is survived by his wife: Edna M (Stewart) Dickinson of West Cape May; one son: John Dickinson of Woolwich Twp, NJ. Also surviving are 2 grandchildren: John Jr. & Bradley; and 4 great grandchildren: April, Ethan, Emma, & Amanda. He was preceded in death by his brothers: James, Bill, & Lou Dickinson. There will be a Funeral Service at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at Tabernacle United Methodist Church, 702 Seashore Rd, Erma, NJ 08204; where friends will be received from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family suggests donations in Lloyd's memory to Ranch Hope, Inc., PO Box 325, Alloway, NJ 08001.
