Obituary of Gary Hansen O'Shea

Gary H O'Shea, age 71, of Wildwood passed away peacefully Saturday, January 16, 2016 at his home. Gary was born April 23, 1944 in Belleville, NJ; but has been a life-long Cape May area resident. He is the son of the late Robert and the late Dorothy (Laberne) Edwards. Gary served his country in the US Coast Guard; and was a Police Officer for Tamarac, FL; Lower Township, NJ; & Wildwood, NJ. He was a member of the Wildwood American Legion, Fraternal Order of Police, and the Emerald Society. Gary was preceded in death by his brother Robert Edwards and his sister Alida Howell. He is survived by his wife Donna (nee King) O'Shea, his son Gary H (Patty) O'Shea, Jr., and his step daughters: Mikki Mounts & Jaimi Hess. Also surviving are: his brother Sarg (Barbara) O'Shea, his sisters: Donna (Leonard) Kobylus & Darlene Elliot, and four grandchildren: Kelianne, Christopher, Steven, & Zaidyn. There will be a funeral service at 11:00 AM on Friday, January 22, 2016 at the Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Rd, North Cape May, NJ 08204; where friends will be received from 10:00 to 11:00 AM Interment will be private. The family suggests donations in Gary's memory to the Wildwood American Legion Post 184, 4200 Atlantic Ave, Wildwood, NJ 08260.
