Obituary of Edward J. Mallon

Edward J. Mallon, age 81, of Villas passed away peacefully Saturday, December 5, 2015 at his home. Edward was born November 27, 1934 in Philadelphia, PA and has been a Cape May area resident since 1995. He is the son of the late Edward E. and the late Mary M. (O'Shey) Mallon. Edward was employed by District Council 21 of the Painter and Allied Trades Union of Philadelphia, PA as a Painter; retiring in 1996. He was a member of the Villas Fishing Club, an avid Phillies fan, and a member of the Parish of St John Neumann at St Raymond's RC Church. Edward was preceded in death by his wife Marie J Mallon in 1999 and two sisters: Eileen Gallagher & Patricia Murray. He is survived by two daughters: Penny Mallon & Margaret Mallon; and six sons: Edward E. Mallon, Thomas J. (Beth Ann) Mallon, Joseph P. (Jodi) Mallon, Andrew J. (Marlene) Mallon, R. Sean (Romana) Mallon, and Kevin B. (Andrea) Mallon. Also surviving are: one brother Michael Mallon; 14 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, December 11, 2015 at the Parish of St John Neumann, St. Raymond's RC Church, Bayshore Road and Ocean Avenue, Villas, NJ; where friends will be received from 10: to 11:00 AM. Interment will be private.
