Michael Labenz, age 54, of Villas passed away Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at Cooper Medical Center of Camden, NJ. Michael was formerly from Washington Township, NJ; but has been a Cape May area resident most of his life. He is the son of Thelma (nee Thumma) Labenz and the late James Labenz. Michael was a cook at the Fish Factory in Wildwood Crest. He enjoyed cooking for everyone and coming up with new dishes. Michael also liked making people laugh with his frequent quips and jokes. He is survived by his three children: Michael J Labenz, Joseph Labenz, & Nicole Labenz, and his sister Michelle Brosious. Also surviving are his four grandchildren: Michael, Travis, Charli, & Kali. There will be a funeral service at 11:00 AM on Monday, November 16, 2015 at the Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Rd, North Cape May, NJ 08204; where friends will be received from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Interment will be private.
