Obituary of George Harry Montis

George H Montis, age 61, of Villas passed away suddenly Saturday, October 24, 2015 as the result of a motor vehicle accident. George was born in Philadelphia, PA; was raised in the Fishtown Section of the city; and was a graduate of Mast Baum High School. As a kid he summered in North Wildwood for many years and became a full time Cape May area resident in the 1970's, and was previously a resident of St Augustine, FL. from 1984-1991. George was a volunteer fireman with the North Wildwood Fire Company, a dog lover, avid fisherman, and enjoyed road trips and the beach. He was a loving husband, devoted father, dear brother, and a good friend to many. George was preceded in death by his parents Herman & Jane Montis, and his brother Richard Montis. He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Jeanne; his daughter Georgeanna Montis (Richard Viglianese); his sister Cheryl Kirk; and his brother Thomas Montis and 5 nieces and 2 nephews. There will be a funeral service at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, October 31, 2015 at the Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Rd, North Cape May, NJ 08204; where friends will be received from 10:00 to 12:00 Noon Interment will be private.
