My fondest memory of Pop was how he and I used to do the dishes together at the family dinners. I could never sit still after we ate, so I would start washing the pots and pans and a moment later, I would turn around and there would be Pop, holding a dish towel, ready to help me dry. We would smile at one another and just start talking. It was our special time together! He also knew how much I LOVE cats and every time I saw him, he would ask how my babies were doing.
I was also one of the recipients of his afore mentioned "wooden cats over the door" which I cherish (I actually have several) He also made me a special little curio shelf to put all of my cat figurines on and that meant the world to me. He always had a way of making you feel special just by the little things he said and did. He was truly one of the most remarkable men I have ever met and my life was so much richer with him in it! I will miss him terribly.....especially at our family get togethers. Who's going to help me dry the dishes now that Pop is gone?

Dear Mary and Family,
We have fond memories of Pop. He has made some great furniture for our home, has eaten my gazpacho soup and even ridden his bike to visit us at the shore. We always enjoyed his Jewish Apple cake, he was a genuine and loving family man and will be greatly missed.
Love Paul and Betty

Our family truly appreciates all the beautiful tributes to Pop. Mom and all of us have read your comments over and over and we love hearing how Pop had an impact on the lives of others.
We want to let everyone know that the Eulogy will be given BEFORE Mass at 11:45 on Tuesday. This is the custom at St John Neumann so that mourners can fully participate in the Mass at 12:00.
The sign in front of the church is "St John Neumann" but there is a lighted sign under it that reads "St Raymond's" which is the former name of the church. The address is 800 Bayshore Road, Villas, NJ or 4 W Ocean Ave, Villas, NJ....it is the same place.
If anyone needs further information, please email Joan at jletiz@gmail.com

Our deepest sympathies go out to the family. Pop was a great guy that we were all lucky to have in our lives. He blessed me with his friendship, 2 of his wonderful grandchildren, a cat over the door and a bird house. He was one of those special people that the world would be a better place having more of.
May he rest in peace,
Tom and family

I wasn't around you a lot Uncle Bar, but the times we were together were both very special and happy. Uncle Bar had a way about him that even when I would just look at him or listen to him speak, he made me smile. His simplistic ways and open heart made him one of a kind. I love hearing stories from my mom about Easters at you and Aunt Mary's house and how you used to take all the kids out for walks and spend time with them. Those memories are cherished by all, and will be missed. Love you Uncle Bartolomeo.

Barry was a wonderful man. Our family feels blessed that we were able to call Mary and Barry our neighbors and friends. Barry was always in good spirits and smiling. He often sat on his back porch and laughed as our children ran wild around our yard. He enjoyed life and was full of life. He adored Mary and their relationship was so special. Barry was also a very lucky man as we saw many family members and friends visiting at the house over the years. There was always someone visiting. We will cherish all of the benches and wooden trinkets that Barry made for our family. Every time I pass through our doorway I look up at the wooden cat and mouse that he made and smile. Barry represents what a husband, father, friend, and neighbor should be. We should all be lucky enough to take a page out of Barry's book. Mary we love you and want you to know that we are right next door whenever you need us! What a wonderful life Barry led! Heaven gained a priceless gem!

What a dear man, who will be greatly missed. What I remember the most about your father was how easy going and sweet he was, his charming smile and the warm and welcoming feeling I felt when being welcomed into their home. The love and utmost respect he showed towards his wife Mary makes him truly a diamond in this world of rumble. I was fortunate enough to receive a gift of one of his carvings, a sea gull, which I will always cherish and hold dear to my heart. How fortunate I am to even say that I knew him, even though it was only for a little while. God continue to bless and comfort your family.

Uncle Barry who we all lovingly referred to as "Pop" , was one of the greatest influences in my life, right up there with my own father. No wonder they were best of friends. If anyone ever needed a role model couple, all they had to do was look to Aunt Mary and Uncle Barry and they would see exactly how to live their lives. There really isn't enough space to write everything that I feel, so I'll simply say I am grateful to have had Pop in my life for so many years, and for my cousins who shared both their Mom and Pop with me on a regular basis. Anyone who really interacted with him had to walk away a better person because of him. Thanks for all the wonderful memories POP ! I will never forget you and all of your many skills, the good advice, and especially our car talks every time we were together. Lastly, Thank you Aunt Mary for taking such GREAT care of Pop while he was sick. Your dedication to him and your family is unmatched anywhere. Love to all !
