Joseph P Reuter, Jr., age 80, of North Cape May passed away Sunday, August 2, 2015 at Cape Regional Medical Center. Joseph was born February 27, 1935 in Philadelphia, PA; formerly lived in Akron, OH & Naugatuck, CT; and has been a Cape May area resident for 25 years. He is the son of the late Joseph P Sr. and the late Eleanor (Madonna) Reuter. Joseph was employed for 25 years by Uniroyal/Michelin Tire Co, Akron, OH as a Procurement Manager, retiring in 1992. He also worked part time at ANCO Hardware in Villas. Joseph was preceded in death by his grandson Ryan Reuter. He is survived by his wife of 57 years: Dolores (nee Litton) Reuter; two daughters: Pam (Don) Simone of Plymouth, MN, & Cindy (Tony) Nave of Waterbury, CT; and one son: Michael Reuter of Portland, CT. Also surviving are his two sisters: Eleanor McNamara of SC & Patricia Woods of Philadelphia, PA; and one brother: Jack Reuter of NC; along with six grandchildren: Anthony Nave, Stephanie Trafka, Kristina Nave, Steven Reuter, Michael Simone, & Sydney Simone; and four great grandsons. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 AM on Thursday, August 6, 2015 at the Parish of St John Neumann, St John of God RC Church, 680 Townbank Rd, North Cape May, NJ 08204; where friends will be received from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at St Mary's Cemetery, 1056 Seashore Rd, Cold Spring, NJ 08204. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Holy Redeemer Hospice 1801 Route 9, Swainton, NJ 08210.
