Joan B Wylie, age 82, of Cold Spring passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 20, 2013 at her home. Born in Stone Harbor, NJ and formerly of Bronx, NY & Roselle Park, NJ; she has been a Cape May area resident since 1988. Joan was a member of the Red Hat Society, the Women's Club of Cape May, and Tabernacle United Methodist Church. She enjoyed traveling and going to the beach. She was predeceased by her husband, George N Wylie, Sr. in 1997 and her granddaughter Katie Dodd in 1998. Joan is survived by her son George (Agnes) Wylie Jr. of Edgewater Park, NJ; her daughter Jill Anne (Mike) Dodd of Gilroy, CA; and three grandchildren: William & Scott Wylie and Owen Dodd. There will be a funeral service at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at the Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Rd, North Cape May, NJ 08204; where friends will be received from 1:00 to 2:00 PM. Interment will be private. The family suggests donations in Joan's memory to the Love of Linda Cancer Fund, PO Box 1053, Wildwood, NJ 08260.
