Obituary of John Robert Neubauer

John Robert Neubauer, age 82, of Villas passed away Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at Cape Regional Medical Center. John was born May 2, 1933 in New York City, NY; was formerly from Park Ridge, NJ; and summered here for many years before moving to the Cape May area in 1995. He is the son of the late Paul and the late Margaret (Rafferty) Neubauer. John was employed by US Postal Service, Montvale, NJ as a Supervisor for over 30 years. He served his country in the US Navy and the US Army. John enjoyed vegetable and flower gardening, photography, training dogs, and loved flying (and had studied for his pilot's license). He was a member of the Fulton Friendship Masonic Lodge #102 F&AM in Park Ridge for 50 years. John is survived by his wife of 57 years Carol (Adams) Neubauer; and two daughters Mary Ellen Neubauer-Russo and husband Mark, & Susan Wilson and husband Doug. Also surviving are four grandchildren: Bryan & Amy Wilson and Anthony & Peter Russo; one great granddaughter Ryleigh Russo; a sister-in-law Barbara Neubauer; and several nieces and one nephew. He was preceded in death by two brothers: Frank & Paul and a sister-in-law Beatrice Neubauer. The funeral will be held 11:00 AM on Friday, May 29 at Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Rd, North Cape May, NJ 08204; where friends will be received from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Cape May County Veteran's Cemetery, 127 Crest Haven Rd, CMCH, NJ 08210.
