Carl E Marks, 71, of Corbin City passed away on Sunday, July 22, 2012 at Penn Presbyterian Hospital in Philadelphia. Born in Somerset County, PA and formerly of Lower Township, NJ; he has been a Corbin City resident for 25 years. Carl was a self employed auto body mechanic, worked for Scravani Buick, McCarthy Ford, Ruffu Ford in West Atlantic City, and Bennetts Trailer in Manahawkin. He was a 1960 graduate of Cape May High School, was a member of the Jersey Cape Cruiser Car Club, enjoyed building & racing cars, fresh water fishing & boating, watching Nascar racing & drag racing, and was an avid motorcyclist. He had a real love for his family, cars, and animals (especially his buddy "Howie"). Carl was preceded in death by his parents Carl & Alfarata Marks. He is survived by his son Carl K Marks of Corbin City; his sister Judy (Jim) Holland of Erma; his brother Gary (Claire) Marks of Villas; his dear friend Charlotte Thogersen of Cold Spring; and three daughters: Tami, Jill, & Lisa. There will be a funeral service at 11:00 AM on Friday, July 27, 2012 at the Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Rd, North Cape May, NJ 08204; where friends will be received from 9:30 to 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Cold Spring Cemetery, 780 Seashore Rd, Cold Spring, NJ 08204.
