Rita M. Golden, 88, of North Cape May passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 8, 2012 at her home. Born in Philadelphia and formerly of that city, she has been a Cape May area resident for 27 years. Rita was a secretary for GMAC in the mortgage department. She was a member of the Parish of St John Neumann, a member of the Christ Child Society, very active in the Camaco Quilters, and the Gardening by the Sea Garden Club. Rita is survived by her husband John V Golden; her son Thomas (Cindy) Robinson; her step daughters: Sister Barbara Golden SSJ; Carol Golden; and Kathy Golden. Also surviving are two grandsons: Andrew & Timothy Robinson; and her brother Jerry Mayer. She was preceded in death by her first husband David J Robinson in 1981, her son Patrick J Robinson in 2009, and three brothers Frederick, Joseph, & Harry Mayer. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM on Friday, July 13, 2012 at the Parish of St John Neumann, St John of God RC Church, 680 Townbank Rd, North Cape May, NJ 08204; where friends will be received from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Interment will be private. The family suggests donations in Rita's memory to the Christ Child Society, PO Box 882, North Cape May, NJ 08204 or the Heartland Hospice, 211 New Road, Suite 100, Northfield, NJ 08225.
