Arlene J Baker (nee Fleming), 74, of North Cape May went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 30, 2012 with her family by her side after a short battle with Pancreatic Cancer. Arlene was born in Philadelphia on March 12, 1938 to William and Winifred Fleming. She moved to North Cape May 31 years ago and was the parish secretary at St. Raymond's RC Church for over 30 years; and continued as secretary of St St. John of God when the two parishes merged. Arlene was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend to all who knew her. Her family was the center of her life. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Fred Baker; 2 daughters: Cindy (Fran) Numbers & Kelliann Hawk; 7 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM on Thursday, July 5, 2012 at the Parish of St John Neumann, St Raymond's RC Church, Ocean & Bayshore Rd, Villas, NJ 08251; where friends will be received from 9:00 to 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Cold Spring Cemetery, 780 Seashore Rd, Cold Spring, NJ 08204. In lieu of flowers, kindly make donations to the Fred Baker Memorial Scholarship Fund, PO Box 302, Leesburg, NJ 08327.
