Obituary of Albert Vincent Unruh

Albert V Unruh, Sr., 72, of Villas passed away peacefully on Monday, June 4, 2012 at AtlantiCare Medical Center in Pomona, NJ. Born in Philadelphia and formerly of that city, he has been a Cape May area resident for 51 years. Albert was a truck driver for Menza Sea Food Company, Jack Gordon Sea Food, and Snow Food Products. Most recently he was the Transportation Supervisor for Senior Care and for Magnolia Day Care Center. Albert was an avid camper, and enjoyed helping and socializing with friends and acquaintances at Outdoor World. He was a life member of Townbank Fire Company where he held the positions of Lieutenant, Captain, and Engineer. Albert was a Little League Baseball coach and also coached Pee Wee Football. He is survived by his wife of 24 years Kathleen (nee Bassetti); two daughters: Nancy (Joseph) Stone and Margaret (Rich) Harron both of Villas; 16 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son Albert Jr., 5 sisters; and 5 brothers. There will be a funeral service at 5:00 PM on Thursday, June 7, 2012 at the Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Rd, North Cape May, NJ 08204; where friends will be received from 4:00 to 5:00 PM. The family suggests donations in Albert's memory to the 4 H Club, Cooperative Extension of Cape May County, 4 Moore Rd, Cape May Court House, NJ 08210; or St Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
