Obituary of John J Harvey

John J Harvey, age 84, of Villas passed away on Monday, April 1, 2013 at Cape Regional Med. Center. Born in Upper Darby and formerly of Drexel Hill, PA; he has been a Cape May area resident since 1981. John served his country in the US Navy during World War II. He was a Letter Carrier for the US Postal Service in Drexel Hill, retiring after 27 years of service. John was a member of the Villas Fishing Club, a life member of the Charles-Buddy Lewis Post of the VFW in Villas, a member of the DAV in Del Haven, and a 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus, Cardinal Dougherty Assembly #913. He is survived by his wife of 52 years Agnes (nee Nemec) Harvey; his daughter Jacqueline Niles of Brooksville, FL; his son John J Harvey Jr. of Upper Darby, two grandchildren: Brian & Nicholas; his brother-in-law Alfred (Theresa) Nemec; and many nieces & nephews. John was preceded in death by his daughter Christine Bohnstedt. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 6, 2013 at the Parish of St John Nuemann, St John of God RC Church, 680 Townbank Rd, North Cape May, NJ 08204; where friends will be received from 10:00 to 11:00 AM.
