My first meeting with Kris was when she attended the BaySea Cub Scout Day Camp with Merwyn. Soon after that Kris joined Scouting as a den leader for Pack 193 and since then has been has been an active Scouter for almost 20 years.
Kris volunteered as a member of the BaySea District Cub Scout Day Camp as our waterfront Lady of the Lake. She also was the BaySea Scouting for Food Coordinator and a Unit Commissioner.
At the council level she was a Brotherhood member of the Order of the Arrow and attended fellowship weekends and the Puerto Rico conclace.
In her community Kris served as a den leader for Pack 193; den leader for Pack 63; member of committee for Troop 63; Troop Committee Chairperson Troop 62: Venture Crew Chairperson Crew 107.
Kris is an Eagle Scout Mom
Kris knew what Scouting was all about. She knew the camping trips and the fun things the boys did was to give them more time to understand the values of Scouting. Kris believed that for many of the the boys in her den and troop, Scouting would provide for them the values and the foundation for a better life. For Kris the most important people in her life were her husband Greg, her children and her Scouts. She would do anything for them and was intensely loyal to them. Her and Greg would sacrifice so much so that Scouts would have a summer camp experience and enjoy the many trips the troop would take to Washington DC and any place that would give them a chance to see there was a world outside their home. Her most recent camping trip was to the OA Conclave in Puerto Rico and here she made many Scouting friends.
Kris always spoke her mind--sometimes it made you uncomfortable but afterwards when you reflected on her wisdom you always had a better understanding of how to best serve.
You will be missed and will always be a part of the BaySea Scouting legacy.

Kris was always a fav around the many Scouting circles. I used to enjoy our banter back and forth when we were bored and needed something to do. Scouting has lost another prominent member. Hopefully the great council in the sky takes you in and shows you as much love as you received at home.

Anyone who spent time with Kriss around Scouting circles knew her to be a hard worker keeping to the task at hand till it was finished. When in the company of certain groups of us Kriss was a scene stealer that loved to be in the fray dishing out as much as she took. There were many on her "S"list but..hey..they deserved it. I for one will miss her. Love you lots Kriss...Bob
