Ruth I Martin, 85, of Erma passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at her home. Born in Syracuse, NY and formerly of Sharon Hill, PA; she has been a Cape May area resident since 1984. Ruth worked for the Pennsylvania Railroad; was the owner of Martin's Flower Shop in Sharon Hill, PA; and worked at Reynold's Department Store in Rio Grande, NJ. She was a member of the Tully Presbyterian Church in Sharon Hill, PA. Ruth is survived by her husband of 63 years Richard B Martin; her children: Richard Martin of Lancaster, PA; Carolyn (Thomas) Brooks of Clermont, FL; Kenneth (Tami) Martin of Brookeville, MD; Edward (Lisa) Martin of Maple Shade, NJ; and Donald Martin of N Wildwood, NJ. Also surviving are: her brother Frank Collins of NC; and her grandchildren: Matt, Ben, Kelsey, Connor, Jonathan, Ryan, Laura, Richie, & Taylor Rae. She was preceded in death by her son Robert Martin. There will be a funeral service at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at the Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Rd, North Cape May, NJ 08204; where friends may call from 10:30 to 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Cold Spring Cemetery, 780 Seashore Rd, Cold Spring, NJ.
