Margaret Schleigh, age 77, of Villas passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 28, 2013 at her home. Margaret was born in Philadelphia, PA, and has been a Cape May area resident since 1977. Margaret was employed by the Keibler Cookie Co. of Philadelphia, Everlon Fabric Co. of Erma, NJ, and retired from the Snow Canning Factory of Lower Township. She is survived by her husband Edward Schleigh; one son: Francis (Cindy) Numbers of Rio Grande; three daughters: Patricia Numbers (Michael Kayiales) of North Cape May, NJ; Gina Clerkin of Williamstown, NJ; and Cheryl (Bill) Garvey of Virginia Beach, VA. Also surviving are her brother Joseph Killian of Philadelphia; her sister Eileen Laftey of Villas; 6 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents Joseph & Mary Killian; her brother Robert Killian; and her sister Mary Ella Shanahan. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at the Parish of St John Neumann, St Raymond's RC Church, Ocean & Bayshore Rd, Villas, NJ 08251; where friends will be received from 9:00 to 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Cold Spring Cemetery, 780 Seashore Rd, Cold Spring, NJ 08204.
