Obituary of John H. Chapin

John H. Chapin, age 64 of Rio Grande, NJ formerly of Morrisville, PA passed away peacefully on Friday March 9, at home with his family by his side. John was born in Philadelphia and was a Cape May Co. resident since 1984. John worked in the electrical supply business and had worked for AC Electric, Fox Electric and Billows Electric. He had also worked for the Naval Aviation Museum in Erma. John was precededed in death by his father Eitel Chapin (2011). John leaves behind his wife of 42 years, Monica Chapin; his mother, Mabel Chapin of Auburndale, FL; a daughter, Dawn Playford (Keith) of N. Cape May; a brother, James Chapin of Germantown, TN; and sisters, Jean Eelman of Auburndale, FL and Joyce Melchior of Bear, DE. He also leaves 4 grandchildren. A visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 pm at the Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Rd. N. Cape May, NJ 08204. A graveside service will be held at 11:30 am on Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at the Whitemarsh Mem. Park, Ambler, PA.
