Robert T Pestridge Jr., 87, of Villas passed away suddenly on Sunday, March 4, 2012. Born in Moorestown, NJ and formerly of Levittown, PA; he has been a Cape May area resident since 1982. Robert was a retired Powerhouse Engineer for Rohm & Haas Inc. of Bristol, PA. He later worked as a part time security guard for Lower Township School District and Seashore Campground. Robert was a lieutenant for the Levittown Fire Company #2 and a lieutenant for the Marine Rescue in Levittown. He was also a member of the Moose Lodge in Erma, NJ. Robert was preceded in death by two sons: George and Lawrence. He is survived by his wife of 67 years Norma M Pestridge; 7 children: Robert (Janice) T Pestridge III, Leona (John) Wallover, Sharon Suter, Carol Dingley, William Pestridge, Patricia (Randall) Hutchinson & James Pestridge; 15 grandchildren; and 22 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be private. Please omit flowers. In lieu of flowers, donations in Robert's memory are requested to Cape May Point State Park, PO Box 107, Cape May Point, NJ 08212.
