Loretta J. "Barbara" (White) Wintjen, age 72 of Villas passed away peacefully at her home on Friday February 10, 2012. Barbara was born in Camden, NJ and previously resided in Williamstown and Darby Pa, before moving to Cape May Co. in 1970. She had been a medical secretary for 23 years working for Robert Renza MD in North Cape May. Barbara had formerly worked as a policy typist for Royal Globe Insurance in Phila., PA. She was a past member of REACT, Women's Republican Club, Lower Twp. and the Lower Twp. Tax Payers Association. Barbara was a member of the Cold Spring Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her 1st husband Robert White and sister Doris Churchill.. She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Bruce A. Wintjen and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held 11:30 am Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2012 at the Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Rd., N. Cape May where friends may call from 10 to 11:30 am. Burial will follow at the Cape May Co. Veterans Cemetery. The family is truly grateful for the wonderful care received from Holy Redeemer Home Care (especially Sue) and Hospice during Barbara's illness.
