Obituary of Aldona Nadolczak

Nadolczak, Aldona E. 86 of Cold Spring, passed away on Monday, January 31, 2012 at Cape Regional Medical Center. Born in Warsaw, Poland she has been a Cape May resident for the past 8 years. Aldona was a polish patriot, who was arrested at the age of 16, for making rifles illegally for the polish army of which she was a member. She was iin a prisioner of war camp for almost 2 years. She eventually rejoined her father in England, where she met her husband to be. They immigrated to New York City through Ellis Island in 1952 where they became proud citizens of their adopted country. Aldona was a federal employee for over 20 years and then a patient accounts representative for the state of New York. Upon her retirement, she became a business owner in Great Kills, Staten Island "Fine Wine and Spirits" which she operated with her daughters for ten years. Her husband of 61 years, passed away in September, 2010. Aldona is survived by her two daughters, Ewa Nadolczak of Cold Spring, NJ and Maja Bannister of Whiting, NJ and one son, Jan Cosgrove of England. Also surviving are her beloved grandchildren, Jennifer Pelliccio and David Oakley. Relatives and friends are invited to her Mass of Christian Burial at 12 noon on Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2010, at The Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa, St. Ann Chapel, 654 Ferry Road, Doylestown, PA. 18901. Friends will be received from 11:00 am until time of Mass. Interment will follow in the Shrine Cemetery
