Joshua A "Josh" Cornwell, 24, of Erma passed away suddenly on Sunday, January 22, 2012. Born in Cape May Court House, he was a life long Cape May area resident. Josh enjoyed skiing, snowboarding, skate boarding, and riding dirt bikes. In the last few months of his life, he had given his life to the Lord and walked in the spirit of the Lord. He was involved with the Teen Challenge Program in Newark, NJ. Josh adored his children. He is survived by his wife Alissa (nee Wright) Cornwell, his daughter Alana Marie Cornwell, his son Joshua Allen Cornwell, his parents John & Patricia Cornwell, and his paternal grandmother Shirley Cornwell. Also surviving are his sisters: Kate Brown & Cheryl Cornwell, his niece Delaney Brown, several aunts, uncles, cousins, and in-laws. There will be a funeral service at 11:00 AM on Friday, January 27, 2012 at the Lighthouse Church, 1248 Route 9 South, Middle Township, NJ; where friends may call from 9:00 to 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at St Mary's Cemetery, 1056 Seashore Rd, Cold Spring, NJ. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Josh's memory to the Teen Challenge of NJ, 49 Brookdale Ave, Newark, NJ 07106.
