Obituary of Margaret Rigling

Margaret "Nancy" Rigling (nee Egan), 81, of North Cape May passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 15, 2012 at her home surrounded by her loving family, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Nancy was formerly from Philadelphia, but has been a Cape May area resident for more than 40 years. She was a 1947 graduate of West Catholic High School in Philadelphia. Nancy retired from the 1st National Bank of New Jersey in 1990. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, playing bingo, taking trips to the casino, and being at the Jersey shore. Nancy was an active volunteer in many organizations including the Legion of Mary, Good Samaritans, and was a Eucharistic Minister. She is survived by her two sons: Kenneth M & William T Rigling; her two grandchildren: William (Megan) Rigling & Megan Rigling; and her great granddaughter Anastazia Wood. Also surviving are her brothers Thomas & Harry Egan, her sister Joan Coyle, and many loving nieces & nephews. Nancy was predeceased by her parents William & Winifred Egan; her husband William Rigling, her sisters Mary Schlipf, Winifred Duross, & Sister Mary Campion, SSJ, and her brother William Egan. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 21, 2012 at the Parish of St John Neumann, St John of God RC Church, 680 Townbank Rd, North Cape May, NJ 08204; where friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Nancy's memory to the Sisters of Mercy, 515 Montgomery Ave, Merion Station, PA 19066.
