Lawrence C "Larry" Hufana, 76, of Villas, NJ passed away suddenly on December 26, 2011 at his home. Born in Philadelphia, PA; he has been a Cape May area resident for many years. Lawrence served his country in the US Navy during the Korean and Vietnam Wars; retiring after 22 years of service. He was also an Associate Professor of Accounting at Stockton State College. Lawrence was a member of the Villas Fishing Club, Villas Fire Department, and a lifetime member of the Charles Buddy Lewis VFW Post 5343 of Villas. He is survived by his wife Margaret "Peggy" (nee Patterson) Hufana of Villas, NJ and his son Michael (Diane) Hufana of Townbank, NJ. Also surviving are his grandson Andrew Hufana of North Cape May; his sister Clare (Gary) Vaughn of Plant City, FL; several cousins; and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Alberta & Claro Hufana. There will be a visitation with family from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM on Saturday, December 31, 2011 at the Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Rd, North Cape May, NJ 08204. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday at the Parish of Saint John Neumann, St John of God RC Church, 680 Townbank Rd, North Cape May, NJ 08204. Interment will follow the service at Cape May County Veteran's Cemetery, 127 Crest Haven Rd, Cape May Court House, NJ 08210.
