Joan M Hoover, 83, of Villas passed away on Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at her home surrounded by her family. Born in Philadelphia, PA; she has been a Cape May area resident since 1972. Joan was a dispatcher for the Lower Township Police Department for over 27 years retiring in 2006; and a member of St Raymond's RC Church in Villas. She was preceded in death by her husband Harry (Bud) Hoover, and two sons Michael & David Hoover. Joan is survived by her three children: Gregory Hoover of Martinsburg, WV; Joseph (Buddy) Hoover of Villas; and Joan Anderson of Villas. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. There will be a funeral service at 11:00 AM on Friday, December 9, 2011 at the Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Rd, North Cape May, NJ 08204; where friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Interment will be private.
