Obituary of Daniel Aaron Connerton

Daniel Aaron Connerton, 83, of Villas passed away on Friday, November 25, 2011 at the Crest Haven Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. Born in Philadelphia, PA to William and Miriam Connerton; Daniel served his country in the Navy, received his BS from Davis and Elkins College in West Virginia, married Joan Shalvey in 1954, and worked for over twenty years at Wyeth Laboratories in Paoli. In 1987 he retired from Wyeth and relocated to the Cape May area. Daniel led a full and rewarding life. He was an avid chess player, a lifelong Republican, and a loving husband and father. He will be missed. Daniel was preceded in death by his wife Joan Shalvey Connerton, his parents William & Miriam Connerton, and his sister Alice Connerton Chaison. He is survived by: his four children: John (Kelly) Connerton, Sharon (Mark) Meredith, Diane Stelacio, & David Connerton; his six grandchildren: Patrick (Nicole) Connerton, Daniel (Samantha) Connerton, Matthew (Amanda) Connerton, AJ Stelacio II, & Denah Stelacio, & David Connerton; and his two great grandchildren: Alexandria & Adrianna Connerton. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM on Monday, December 5, 2011 at the Parish of St John Neumann, St Raymond's RC Church, Ocean & Bayshore Rd, Villas, NJ 08204; where friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. The family suggests donations in Dan's memory to the Sisters of Christian Charity, 1 Montour St, Danville, PA 17821.
