Helen Coover, 81, of Villas passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at Victoria Manor. Born in Philadelphia, PA; she summered here as a child and has been a Cape May area resident since 1950. Helen was a chambermaid at several area motels including the Mar-Lane Motel in Wildwood. She was a member of St Raymond's RC Church where she served in the Altar and Rosary Society. Helen was preceded in death by her husband Lester Coover in 1984. She is survived by her sons: William Coover of Camden, NJ and John (Linda) Coover of Villas, NJ; and her daughter Kathleen (George) King of North Franklin, CT. Also surviving are her brother Ed Elmore of Woodstown, NJ; her sister Dolly Finocchiaro of Cape May Court House, NJ; 3 grandchildren: George, Buffy, & David; and 4 great grandchildren: Sean, Aiden, Evan, & Amelia. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM on Monday, November 21, 2011 at the Parish of St John Neumann, St Raymond's RC Church, Ocean & Bayshore Rd, Villas, NJ 08251; where friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Cape May County Veteran's Cemetery, 127 Crest Haven Rd, Cape May Court House, NJ 08210.
