Grandmom loved butterflies, flowers and her yard because she could appreciate the natural beauty of all living things. She taught me this not by saying anything in particular but by her actions.She would sit in the middle of a mess of toys on the floor when she had chores to do or even had grownups to talk to. She taught me as a child that I was worth being heard; That I mattered. Most people find themselves too busy to enjoy the important things in life until it is to late but not my Gran; she was wiser than she was given credit for.She knew money paled in value compared to family love. She never had much money but she enjoyed the true riches that she was given. I will miss her for she was an amazing woman and I aspire to be like her. I love her.
