William J Cusella, 77, of Erma passed away on Tuesday, November 1, 2011 at his home after a brief battle with cancer. Born in Philadelphia, he has been a Cape May County resident for 40 years. William was a sewer equipment operator for the City of Wildwood, retiring after 27 years of service. He served his country in the US Navy during the Korean War. William was an avid sportsman and especially enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a life member of the North American Hunting Club and the NRA, and an advocate for the right to bear arms. William was preceded in death by his mother Florence Cusella. He is survived by his wife Patricia A Cusella; his daughter Stephanie (Steve) Zuzulock; and his daughter Michelle Cusella. Also surviving are his grandchildren: Gianna & Adriana; his brother Nino (Suzanne) Cusella Sr.; his nephew Joe (Carmen) Cusella; and his nephew Nino J Cusella, JR. There will be a memorial service at 11:00 AM on Monday, November 7, 2011 at the Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Rd, North Cape May, NJ 08204; where friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Interment will be private. The family suggests donations in William's memory to the Love of Linda Cancer Fund, PO Box 1053, Wildwood, NJ 08260 or The Survivors of Cancer, PO Box 266, Wildwood, NJ 08260.
