Thomas A. Cleghorn, age 94 of North Cape May passed away on Saturday, October 22, 2011 at the North Cape Center. He was born in Philadelphia, Pa and resided there for many years before retiring from the Pennsylvania Correctional System in Philadelphia after 30 years in 1977 and moving to Cape May in 1978. He was a WW II Army veteran having fought in the Pacific Theatre. He was a member of the VFW Charles Buddy Lewis Post 5543, Villas and the Moose Lodge of Erma. Thomas was a former member of the Villas Fishing Club. He was preceded in death by his wife Jean Simon Cleghorn (1993). He is survived by his companion, Jane Cleghorn; a sister, Mary Gray of Tabernacle, NJ a grandson Walter Zeller and several nieces and nephews. A Funeral Service will be held 11 am Thursday, October 27, 2011 at the Evoy funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Rd., N. Cape May where friends may call from 10-11 am. Burial will follow at the Cold Spring Cemetery.
