Obituary of Paul E Petrin

Paul E "Pops" Petrin, age 77 , of Villas passed away peacefully on Monday, March 11, 2013 at his home after a brave battle against Leukemia. Born in Woonsocket, RI, and formerly of Coram Long Island, NY; he has lived in the Cape May area for 15 years. Paul served his country in the US Army during the Korean War. He was a supervisor for Kentucky Fried Chicken for 27 years in the Manhattan, NY area. Paul also worked as a painter after he moved to the Cape May area. He enjoyed fishing, going to the beach, and being a "social butterfly". Paul was preceded in death by his parents Albert & Denise Petrin, his sister Suzanne, and his brother Albert, Jr. He is survived by his wife of 52 years Judith (nee Crouthamel) Petrin, his son Mark P Petrin, and his daughter Melissa (Patrick) Sandhoff. Also surviving are the two love's of his life, granddaughters Samantha Jude Sandhoff and Hope Bess Sandhoff; and his chocolate lab Hershey. There will be a Memorial Service at 1:00PM on Saturday, March 16, 2013 at Cape May Lutheran Church, Pittsburgh Ave, Cape May, NJ 08204; where friends will be received from 12:00 to 1:00. Interment will be private.
