Obituary of William F Comerford

William F Comerford, age 81, of North Cape May passed away suddenly on Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at his home. Born in Camden, NJ and formerly of Pennsauken; he has been a Cape May area resident for 21 years. William was a 1947 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School in Camden and served his country in the National Guard. He worked for R M Hollingshead of Camden and then for 35 years at RCA of Camden. William was an avid gardener; a member of the Bree-Zee-Lee Yacht Club of Cape May for 62 years; and an active member of the Cape May United Methodist Church. He was the son of the late Sadie & George Comerford, and was preceded in death by his sisters: Anne Barry & Dot Senderling. William is survived by his wife of 58 years June (nee Johnson) of North Cape May and his daughter Dawn (Joseph) Kasper of Edgewater, FL. Also surviving are his grandchildren: Sandra Kasper & Thomas Kasper. There will be a funeral service at 11:00 AM on Monday, September 19, 2011 at Cape May United Methodist Church, 635 Washington St, Cape May, NJ 08204; where friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Cold Spring Cemetery, 780 Seashore Rd, Cold Spring, NJ 08204. The family suggests donations in William's memory to the Cape May United Methodist Church or a charity of your choosing.
