Leon S Slomski, age 100, of Lower Township passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 10, 2011 at the North Cape Center. Born in Elizabeth, NJ and formerly of Rosenhayn, NJ; he has been a Cape May area resident since 2007. Leon was a skilled welder providing important work during both World War II and the Cold War. Leon and Stella operated a poultry farm in the Rosenhayn area, and later Leon worked in maintenance for Millville Manufacturing & Dye Company. Leon and his wife Stella also did a great deal of volunteer work with the senior meals program in Cumberland County and were honored for their service. He was preceded in death by his wife Stella and his son Robert. Leon is survived by his son Walter (Claire) Slomski of Villas, NJ. Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
