Josephine A Garvin of Villas passed away peacefully on Friday, August 26, 2011 at her home. Born in Philadelphia and formerly of that city, she has been a Cape May area resident for 40 years. Josephine was preceded in death by her son Edward C Garvin in 2010. She is survived by: JoAnn Marie Garvin of Rio Grande; Michele (Lars) Olsen of Paradise, PA; Maureen (Bill) Dunn of Villas, NJ; and Joseph (Tina) Garvin of North Cape May, NJ. Also surviving are three sisters: Lorretta, Jacqueline, & Carole; one brother James; 9 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM on Friday, September 2, 2011 at the Parish of St John Neumann, at St Raymond's RC Church, Ocean & Bayshore Rds, Villas, NJ 08251; where friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Interment will follow the service at Cold Spring Cemetery, Cold Spring, NJ 08204. The family suggests donations in Josephine's memory to St Jude Shrine, 512 N Saratoga St, Baltimore, MD 21201.
