Joan M DeJames, age 72, of Villas passed away on Friday, August 5, 2011 at Cape Regional Medical Center. Born in Philadelphia and formerly of that city, she has been a Cape May area resident since 1976. Joan's favorite pastimes were playing bingo and going to the Casinos. She is survived by her devoted husband Joseph (whom she married on November 17, 1962); her sons: Frank Sippel, Joseph DeJames Jr; & Edward DeJames all of Villas; and her daughters: JoAnn (Sissy) Stansbury, Adele (Shawn) Lore, & Regina DeJames also all of Villas. In addition she is survived by her brother Fredrick Howard of Philadelphia; 12 grandchildren; and 13 1/2 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Fredrick & Lillian Howard and her sister Lillian Devlin. There will be a graveside funeral service at 11:00 AM on Thursday, August 11, 2011 at Cold Spring Cemetery, 780 Seashore Rd, Cold Spring, NJ 08204. The family suggests donations in Joan's memory to the American Cancer Society, 1851 Old Cuthbert Rd, Cherry Hill, NJ 08034.
