Obituary of Miriam P Wingate

Miriam P (Tweed) Wingate nee Gough, age 91, of Cape May Court House formerly of Baltimore MD passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 20, 2011. Miriam was born in Baltimore, MD where she resided most of her life before coming to NJ recently. She was a retired telephone switchboard operator for the Baltimore Federal Bank. She was active in Girl Scouts and Faith Community Church in the Hamilton Section of Baltimore. She was also active in the United Methodist Women and the AARP. Miriam is preceded in death by her husbands Stewart M. Tweed Sr. and Elmer Wingate and a son Stewart M. Tweed Jr. She is survived by one daughter M. Priscilla Tweed of Baltimore, MD; a stepson Elmer (Jeaneen) Wingate Jr. of Baltimore, MD; and a daughter-in-law Gail Tweed of Villas, NJ. She also leaves five grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Private graveside services will be held at the Tweed family gravesite in the 1st Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Williamstown, NJ.
