Paul F Slaney Jr., age 53, of North Cape May passed away on Wednesday, July 13, 2011 at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia. Born in Sea Isle City, NJ and formerly of Millville; he has been a Cape May area resident since 1993. Paul was a retired Senior Chief in the US Coast Guard with 20 years of service. He was also a civilian Marine Industrial Mechanic working for the US Coast Guard here in Cape May for an additional 13 years. Paul was a member of the Chief's Club at the Cape May Coast Guard base and a member of the Cape May VFW. He is survived by his wife Bonnie of N Cape May; his son Ryan (Crystal) Slaney of N Cape May; his daughter Jennifer (Jarrod) St. Onge of N Cape May; and his stepson Christian (Jenn) Steiner of Ft Dix, NJ. Also surviving are his sister Connie (John) Luccarella of Reading, PA; his brother Keith Slaney; 2 grandchildren: Jaelynn & Chase; and one step grandchild Giavanna. Paul was preceded in death by his parents Paul & Janet Slaney. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, July 19, 2011 at the Parish of St John Neumann, at St John of God RC Church, 680 Townbank Rd, North Cape May, NJ 08204; where friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Interment will follow the service at Cape May County Veteran's Cemetery, 127 Crest Haven Rd, Cape May Court House, NJ 08210.
