Carmen J Constantine Sr., age 87, of Villas, NJ passed away peacefully on Friday, June 10, 2011 at the Eastern Shore Nursing Home. Born in Philadelphia, PA and formerly of Pensauken, NJ; he has been a Cape May area resident since 1986. Carmen served his country in the US Navy during World War II as a Medical Assistant on a landing tank craft. He served in the D-Day Invasion, the Pacific Theatre, Guam, Okanawa, and the occupation of Japan. Carmen was a very active member of the Villas VFW. He was retired from Conrail with 35 years of service. Carmen is survived by his wife of 64 years Ruth Constantine of Villas; his son Carmen (Linette) Constantine of Haddonfield; and two grandchildren: Nicole & Mark. He was preceded in death by his brother John Constantine. Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
