Obituary of Agnes C Baureis

Agnes Collette Baureis (nee Chernow) of Cape May passed away on Thursday, February 28, 2013. She was the beloved wife of Walter and mother of Maryellen, Betty and Tom. Agnes is survived by her 11 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and her little Scottish terrier, Molly. She was born in New York City and grew up in Newark, NJ. Agnes was a secretary at Krueger Brewery and for the Scotch Plains-Fanwood Board of Education. She resided in Fanwood, Pinellas Park, and Wildwood Crest before moving to North Cape May. Agnes loved the ocean, dancing, card playing, and bowling. She was a member of the Senior Federation Club and the North Cape May Seniors. Agnes was actively involved in the Parish of St. John Neumann, particularly the Altar and Rosary Society, as well as the Christ Child Society. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 am on Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at St John Neumann Parish, St John of God RC Church, 680 Townbank Rd, North Cape May Visitation will be at the church, 1 hour prior to services.. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to Holy Redeemer Hospice (Cape May), 1801 Route 9 North, Swainton, NJ 08210; or Covenant House; or Boys Town.
