Obituary of M. Jayne Maguire

M. Jayne. Maguire, age 92 of Erma passed away on Friday evening, May 20, 2011 at the Court House Conv. Center. Born in York, PA she was formerly of Rutledge Pa before moving to Cape May Co. in 1974. Jayne was a retired secretary for INA Insurance Co. in Philadelphia and as a volunteer managed the Et Cetera Thrift Shop at Burdette-Tomlin Hospital(currently known as Cape Reg. Medical Center) in Cape May Court House for ten years She lastly had worked for the Beach Theater in Cape May as a cashier. Her memberships included the Lady's of Marian of Stella Maris K of C Council #3546 in Erma where she had served as treasurer; the Millman Crafters; the Golden Seniors where she had also served as treasurer. Jayne was preceded in death by her husband Walter (1994) and Son -In-Law Bruce Becker. She is survived by two sons, Michael Maguire (Diane) of Erma and Walter H. Maguire Jr. (Patricia) of Springfield, PA; two daughters, Betty Becker of the Villas and Maryanne Lauer (John) of Orrville, OH; a brother Don Cavender of Prospect Park, PA. Jayne also leaves 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 am on Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at the St. John Neumann Parish at St. Raymond's RC Church, Bayshore Road and Ocean Avenue, Villas where friends may call from 10 to 11 am on Wednesday morning. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Cold Spring. Contributions in her memory may be made to the Alzheimers Association/ South Jersey Chapter, 3 Eves Drive, Suite 310, Marlton, NJ 08053.
