Obituary of Patrick Joseph Kinney

Patrick J Kinney, age 77, of Villas passed away peacefully on Monday, May 9, 2011 at Court House Convalescent Center. Born in Philadelphia and formerly of the Kensington Section of that city, he has been a Villas resident since 1995. Patrick was a Philadelphia police officer retiring in 1981 with 25 years of service. He was accommodated for bravery & extraordinary service numerous times during his career. Patrick was also a bartender in the Kensington Section for many years. He served his country in the US Army. Patrick was a member of the Knights of Columbus Stella Maris Chapter #3546 of Erma; the VFW in Villas; and was a lifetime member of the Villas Fishing Club. He is survived by his: wife Alice Kinney; son Patrick (Patricia) Kinney; daughter Alycia (Tom) McLellan; and son Tim (Annette) Kinney. Also surviving are his grandchildren: Michele, Jennifer, Brian, Andrew, Timmy, TJ, Sean, & Allie. Patrick was preceded in death by: his son John Kinney; and his siblings: John Kinney, Marie Kinney Boylan, Dorothy Kinney Hondros, and Anna Kinney Mackley. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM on Friday, May 13, 2011 at the Parish of St John Neumann at St Raymond's RC Church, Ocean & Bayshore Rd, Villas, NJ 08251. Friends will be received on Thursday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Rd, North Cape May; and on Friday morning from 8:30 to 9:45 AM at the church. Interment will follow the service at Cape May County Veteran's Cemetery, 127 Crest Haven Rd, Cape May Court House, NJ 08210.
